Review: Branwen’s Quest by Katelyn Buxton

The four champions of Aralan are sent on a deadly quest deep into the Northern Mountains to find the long ago stolen crowns of the King & Queen. If all this feels like a cross between Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings, that's because it is. The mountain is booby-trapped up the wazoo, with taunting notes left hundreds of years ago by a wily, bloodthirsty thief. The young champions face many threats, most from without, some from within.

Review: Illusionary by Desiree Williams

Illusionary by Desiree Williams is a New Adult Fantasy novel (the main character is 19 years old, I am counting this as NA and no one can convince me otherwise!) about a young woman who trips and falls into another world. Literally. Once there, she meets a band of young boys, lead by a young man with unusual powers, and goes on a quest to save the 'Maker' of the world. Hilarity, sweetness and wonder ensue.

Review: The Traveler by E.B. Dawson

The Traveler by E.B. Dawson, is a sci-fi fantasy novel set in what feels like a futuristic, technologically-advanced world. Whether or not that world is our future, or another, remains to be determined. Our main character, Anissa Robson, is starting in her new position as an intern to a politician. In this world, everything is automated and the people don't dream. Literally, they do not dream. Except, Anissa has started to dream more and more frequently of another place, a simpler life in a gloriously beautiful land. Away from her bureaucratic nightmare of a job, away from the freezing rain and drudgery of her city, away from all the people who don't believe in the fantastical. Her dreams are deceivingly realistic, and more and more she wishes they were real.
